Vimond is looking for a Presales Engineer/Technical Sales resource who will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, providing essential technical expertise to help the Sales team win business from new and existing customers within the Americas.

 

The Presales Engineer is responsible for designing and documenting appropriate technical solutions for customers and involves significant technical interaction with clients, especially face to face. 

 

Professionalism, flexibility, product and domain expertise, and the ability to communicate that expertise to a wide variety of audiences are key attributes for this role.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and/or participate in client demos, trials, evaluations, proof of concepts and any other technical aspect of the presales process
  • Identify technical customer requirements and translate them into efficient solutions architecture
  • Generate high-quality sales leads and follow up after initial meeting
  • Provide technical responses to RFI/RFP/tender completion and submission
  • Control and manage your own deals when required
  • Maintain account and opportunity updates within Hubspot or alternative CRM 
  • Report to SVP of Americas

Essential Experience & Attributes

  • 5+ years of pre sales engineering experience, supporting the sales cycle for a multi-faceted SaaS platform 
  • Solid communicator and team player with excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven, hard-working, persuasive, and tenacious
  • Proven track record of successful quota achievement

 

Other Skills:

  • Understand cloud-based streaming technology and SaaS, basic knowledge of AWS services is a plus
  • Has worked with and sold to broadcast and media entertainment industry and is able to articulate how Vimond can help provide solutions to prospects
  • Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical people
  • Autonomous and confident in preparing and delivering customer technical demonstrations
